Review of Eagle Movers Thailand in Bangkok, Thailand by Brady D, 19 May 2019, 17:03
I'm posting a review here similar to one I posted back in July/August of 2017 as I was so dis-satisfied with the experience that I want to ensure no one else ever has to deal with this company. Somehow my review was removed from the site and I believe Michael Jensen did something to get it pulled down as when I first wrote it he requested multiple times that I take it down and even left me with a threat of : "Don't forget I moved you."
Using Eagle Movers was a huge mistake that caused me stress, anxiety and anger throughout the entire process.
The process got off to a bad start when we did not have enough money in our Thai bank account (as we had closed it out when we moved) to pay the invoice. I followed up with Michael for weeks asking if I could pay through paypal or using a credit card and he wouldn't allow it. I am assuming it is because he knew about the terrible service he provides and wanted to make sure he had cash in hand. So, we eventually paid about 2 weeks later and this would haunt us for the whole time we waited for our belongings which ended up being a total of 3 months. We were originally told it would take one month. So, you can imagine the frustration of not having your things for 3 months when living in a new country.
He told us that because we were delayed in paying we had been bumped to the back of the que, then he told us our stuff was held up by Thai customs demanding bribes, and then lied to us about when the stuff was actually cleared and shipped from Thailand. We understand that in Thailand these things can happen, but there was no communication from Michael through the process unless we repeatedly emailed and called him for answers. When we did get in touch with him he was rude and dismissive and eventually became totally inappropriate.
Our stuff finally arrived, and I am just glad it is here and I don't have to deal with them anymore.
Additionally, when I was sent the last invoice it had "White Swan" as the company, so I think that this company is linked to that one. The people reviewing White Swan mention a guy named Frank Nelson who sounds exactly like Michael Jensen in his belligerent language. (https://www.mymovingreviews.com/movers/white-swan-relocation-company-6225).
When I confronted Michael about this he told me that Frank Nelson was not him and actually that Frank Nelson was dead (the absurdity is difficult to get over). Meanwhile, people are continuing to post about White Swan and the treatment they are getting from Frank Nelson.
This guy (Michael) wrote emails saying that I couldn't speak English and that I sounded drunk all while cursing and using abusive broken English.
Do yourself a favor and steer clear! Even if this is the cheapest quote you get it will not be worth it.
As an update, the company is now threatening legal action against me for this review - which I will reiterate reflects my experience with the company and my opinion and theory based on that experience.
