Worst movers ever in my 30 years of moving. Workers did not show up on time or at all. Then proceeded to rush and just threw things into boxes. Non-professional movers charging professional mover rates. Damaged my floors and personal belongings with their rough handling. Agreed they would label boxes but ended up not labeling. Lost expensive possessions but they denied it. Brought them to court and refused to pay. Claimed their liability limited to $100 when they caused thousands of dollars of damage and loss. Be careful when dealing with this company. They will not do the ethical thing and take responsibility for double booking your job and not having enough trained workers when the time comes. Even the courts had to agree with me after seeing all the damage. Do not be fooled by their alleged awards. It’s not a once off incident. Just look at their reviews On the internet, here, google reviews and on TheSmartLocal.com. If I could give them negative stars I would.

Worst movers ever in my 30 years of moving. Turns out they confirmed my job without even knowing whether they had enough workers. Then proceeded to send their sales people to pack as workers dribbled in and out. They then rushed and just threw things into boxes without wrapping to finish a 3 day job in one day. Damaged my floors and personal belongings with their rough handling. Valuables went missing. What they didn’t have time to pack, they abandoned. Not even an apology. Brought them to court and refused to pay. Claimed they limit their liability to $100. Beware using this company because their COO Gabriel will claim they are limited to $100 liability because customer didn’t buy insurance. But they excluded in their contract customer’s right to take insurance for all valuable items! Read your contract folks and don’t sign it! Even the courts had to agree with me after seeing all the damage. Do not be fooled by their alleged online awards. It’s not a once off incident. And looks like more than one customer has “lost” things on their move. Just look at their reviews. If I could give them negative stars I would. Appalling conduct. We were moving from a 2 storey to a 3 storey and they sent 4 men?! So a what could have been a couple hours took the best part of a day to move. Worse still, their conduct was scrappy and careless. They left marks on the walls of our new place that the landlord had just painted white. They were unprofessional, calling each other 'n*gg*r' in front of our kids. The consultant (Henry) didn't even calculate the right number of boxes for us as he was too lazy to come and assess in person. Just a really bad experience.

Shalom Movers won’t pay for damage they cause. We had a bad experience with Shalom Movers when we recently moved apartment. Their workers caused SG$500 worth of damage to a fixture and the landlord (not unreasonably) asked us to pay for repairs. As Shalom was solely responsible for the damage we attempted to pass the repair bill on to them. Initially they offered only S$100 compensation but after escalating to senior management this was grudgingly increased to $250 take-it in next couple of days-or-leave-it. Their CEO, Gabriel Lam, not only refused to take a call on the matter but also refused to supply the terms and conditions of the contract we signed. We assume by refusing our request for T&C he thinks he can hide his obligation to pay up. Not only did Shalom shirk responsibility for full payment, we found their management’s attitude to be arrogant and contemptuous and would advise anyone moving to consider more customer-focused removal companies.

On the day that we were moving, none of the men wore masks. One man was coughing and spluttering. We had no other interactions over those days with anyone else. We also did not go out over those days as we were unloading our boxes and settling into the new home. 3-4 days after the move, our household came down with covid. Tried to address this with Shalom and their response was "we are all healthy, you need to check your other interactions." This is possibly the worst customer service experience over such a sensitive issue. Obviously one of their staff had covid and was working instead of isolating. Bottom line, do not use these clowns.

Would not claim any accountability for a poorly package item that was damaged. They accused us of damaging item. Very insulting. WAY OVER PRICED for the poor level of service. Similar servcie level to low end movers but at much higher cost.
